BREATHABLE VENT CARD
Can Foam Be Sprayed Directly Onto Felt?
Irish Building Regulations require a 50mm air gap between insulation material and roofing felt, to ensure your timbers are able to breathe. Air coming in from the soffit allows moisture to escape your structure eliminating the build up of condensation.
If your roof is counter battened with the 50mm air gap on the outside of your roof, then and only then can foam be sprayed directly on the felt.
Our company Bio Insulate complies with these Building Regulations and has the proper certification which is supplied to our customers.
CPI Foam that Bio Insulate uses has a 25 year guarantee and is supplied to the customer on completion of every spray foam installation.
