BREATHABLE VENT CARD
After extensive research and testing ‘Breathable Vent Card’ System has been developed.
To comply with the current Irish Building Regulations there must be a 50mm air gap above the insulation, either on the outside (counter battened) or on the inside. The breathable vent must be connected in the roof from left to right thus allowing the airflow up from the soffit and over the insulation no matter what type of insulation is needed.
Where tar felt is used (non breathable) the breathable roof vent is to be fitted to comply with Irish building regulations and it is the contractors responsibility to follow these regulations.
The breathable vent card we use is NSAI tested and approved also meeting Irish Building Regulations requirement of a 50mm air gap between foam and felt.
